On Saturday May 15th, I competed in the Olukai Ho’olaule’a SUP Event on Maui. Before this event, I had trained very hard. I practiced with some of the top people in Maui including Livio Menelau, Mark Raaphorst, Jack Dyson, and Jeremy Riggs. These guys have been awesome to me, taking the time to really train with me. For the two weeks prior to the event, we did Maliko Gulch runs almost everyday. (more…)

Watermans’ Connor Baxter

It is rare when the wind comes from the south here  in Maui and we can get an epic day of windsurfing at Lanes.  It was a lot of fun to sail on the port tact and it was a good learning experiment!

Aloha,

Connor

Hawaii was great, I wish I was still there.   As soon as I got to the North Shore I got myself some sunscreen from Surf N Sea.

Great sunscreen, really really good stuff.  I got the Lotion, Face Stick, and Lip Balm.

I wore it for the Maui race, got absolutely baked where I hadn’t applied and just fine where I had.  Maui was so much fun, great conditions and runner after runner.

Then the real test… Molokai.  Apparently there was a high UV alert that day and everyone was warned to stay indoors… oh my goodness, super sunburned again where I hadn’t applied.

Kind regards,

Mary Graham
