Honolulu, HI, July 12, 2008 – Competing against athletes half your age can be intimidating for anyone. Add to that scenario a week without surf and the busy day-to-day lifestyle associated with being a star in two different sports and you have a situation that would scare off even the most seasoned of competitors. These were the hurdles 10-year-old Kalani David was up against during Saturday’s T&C invitational Air show. Orange County, CA, June 30, 2008 – After a long week of competition at Salt Creek, Kalani David, 10-year old mini-grom and the latest addition to the Watermans’ team, started the weekend off with a victory in Saturdays NSSA National Mini-Grom finals, featuring solid shoulder to head-high surf and excellent conditions. The victory was especially sweet in the wake of last years disappointing sixth place finish. (more…)
