| As the flagship event for SUP in the Caribbean, the third edition of the Paddle Royal – The San Juan SUP Cup, is now it’s richest Stand Up competition. Velauno, with the help of several sponsors, is putting up over $5,000 in cash prizes plus trophies and raffle items! This amazing event brings together the Worlds Best SUP Pros, the Caribbean’s Top Elite SUP racers, ambitious amateurs and the kids fleet on a scenic tour of San Juan and the Condado Lagoon.

Conrad Condado Plaza – Amazing Host Hotel!
| The Conrad Condado Plaza will be our host hotel. Located right next to the event site, this super cool and hip hotel has ultra lux accommodations at a killer price. They are offering a $99 a day rate to event competitors for Ocean Front rooms that are currently going for $159 at Hotels.com. This rate is for double occupancy. Add $40 (plus taxes and fees) per additional adult in the room for maximum of 4 adults. Once you add taxes and fees it comes to about $130 per night for two people and that includes everything.

Classes, Divisions and Scoring
| The Paddle Royal will feature racing in three classes: The Badass Class (Elite competitors) and Weekend Warriors (Recreational competitors) and Keikis (kids). For all the details go here.

Keiki Class (Trophy Class)
Event scoring will be by class. The subdivisions are scored within the class (from the overall scores we award the sub-division points and prizes). Competitors will get points equal to their placing in each race. The final scores will be the aggregate results of each individual race. That means that every race counts towards your score. This is a unique and exciting racing format. Make sure you surf over to the event website for all the racing details. |
